WHAT'S CHANGED?

Effective 10/17/2022 Alaska Regional issued a notice stating that per the updated CDC guidelines from 09/23/2022 masks are no longer required in certain areas of the hospital including private physician offices. With this change in their policy we have opted to go mask free in the office.

As always, if you have concerns about your own risk, or risk of family members at home, we recommend you use a mask while in the office to protect yourself from infection. You are welcome to continue to wear a mask per your preference for personal reasons or protection. If you ask we would also be happy to wear masks during your visit as well.

Please be aware that we ask that if patients are not feeling well, even if it's "just mild symptoms" to reschedule their appointment/switch to telehealth if applicable.

Please note that if community transmission levels go back to high, this guidance will change. Thank you for your ongoing flexibility and support of each other as we adapt to the ever-changing environment brought about by COVID-19!
